Assisted Living
Residential Living/Assisted Care was developed in 1995 as an alternative
for individuals with dementia who do not require nursing care but need
supervision and assistance. Specially designed community spaces
and trained staff members who understand the disease process promote
greater independence for residents. The Alois Alzheimer Center
provides individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia with companionship,
social opportunities, outings, security, trained staff, and our uniquely
designed environment and outdoor gardens. These extra efforts help fill
the gaps that are not met by other assisted living programs and nursing
facilities.
As in our own homes, rooms at the Center allow for outdoor gardens and
yards, decorated rooms with outdoor views, access to food at any time,
a lovely sunroom in which to visit with friends and neighbors. Residents
are encouraged to spend time socializing with a group which often leads
to spontaneous sing-a-longs or social activities.
Residential Living/Assisted Care at the Center offers a cost effective,
comfortable approach to care. Staff members attend to residents
24 hours a day, to assist and engage them in a wide variety of social
programs.
