Residential/Nursing Care
When an individual with dementia needs more assistance than Assisted
Living can provide, the Alois Alzheimer Center provides three additional,
specialized levels of care. This three-tiered method allows residents
to live with others like themselves, enhancing their sense of belonging.
These 3 units, referred to as the Courtyard, Terrace and Gardens, provide
a continuum of care from intermediate care through skilled nursing care. Each
unit is self-contained with space for dining and recreational programs,
as well as living rooms for socializing with family and one another. Residents
and families have access to one of the 3 beautifully landscaped gardens
directly from their unit. Staff are “permanently assigned” to
a unit, allowing intimate knowledge and involvement for each resident
and family. In addition, this staffing philosophy promotes greater
opportunity for deep and meaningful relationships to bloom.
